Counting Game

  1. Warming-up exercise

Form a circle. Count one by one. But instead of some numbers you have to clap. We clap instead of 1, then instead of 2, then instead of 3 etc.:

clapping, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7                  1, clapping, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7                  1, 2, clapping, 4, 5, 6, 7…

3. Form a circle. Count one by one. But instead of some numbers we have to say an English word.

eg.

We have to say an English word instead of all multiples of 4.

1, 2, 3, boy, 5, 6, 7, house, 9, 10, 11, car…

We have to say an English word instead of all multiples of 7.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, climate, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, run…

4. Form a circle. Count one by one. But instead of some numbers we have to say an English word of a given topic.

eg.

We have to say an English word in the topic: house instead of all multiples of 4.

1, 2, 3, room, 5, 6, 7, kitchen, 9, 10, 11, live…

We have to say an English word in the topic: house instead of all multiples of 7.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, bed, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, door…

5. Form a circle. Count one by one. But instead of some numbers we have to say a Lithuanian province.

eg.

We have to say a Lithuanian province instead of all multiples of 4.

1, 2, 3, Kaunas, 5, 6, 7, Klaipeda, 9, 10, 11, Alytus…

We have to say a Turkish province instead of all multiples of 7.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Panevezys, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, Utena…
